These three views show the 'Crossing' which has a mixture of architectural
designs. The main part is 12th Century Norman design leading to the north and
south transepts, the roof is of Norman design but was actually rebuilt in the
19th century after a fire destroyed the original roof in 1711, the Pulpitum
screen was built to Gothic design in the 14th century (1330-40) and upon the
screen stands the main choir organ, the third photo is of poorer quality but
shows the north transept with a bronze bust of Edwyn Hoskyns the 2nd Bishop
of Southwell (from 1904-1925), the door leads through to the Pilgrims chapel
