Here are my photographs of St. John's church in Ranmoor, Sheffield, it is situated on Ranmoor Park Road, it is a very beautiful church, one of the best looking in Sheffield by far and with the highest spire in Sheffield at 200ft (66 metres) but I was disappointed that the church was locked and opens on Sundays for services only so I couldn't get inside to take photos or to see what the impressive looking windows looked like from inside, I know there are vandals these days but it does annoy me that a place of worship and sanctuary is permanently locked except on Sundays or by prior arrangement especially when the building is as beautiful as this one. The pictures were taken on the 13th of November 2003

This is the 2nd St. John's, the original church which was built in 1879 burnt down after just 8 years on New years day 1887, the tower and spire are the originals but the rest was rebuilt and was completed in 1888
