P E N D R A G O N
Here are my photographs
of Pendragon castle situated 4 miles south of Kirkby Stephen in Cumbria.
The
Castle is privately owned and is a ruin but is a very nice place to visit with fantastic
scenery all around and stood on the bank of the River Eden,
I would highly recommend a visit to anyone.
The castle was a 12th century
Norman keep with a 14th century garderobe turret, all that remains is the base
of a tower, Legend tells that King Arthur's father, Uther Pendragon was the
founder of the castle and died here with 100 of his men when Saxons poisoned
the well, this is all legend though :)
The photographs were taken on the 13th of August 2005.
